let is talk about Sri Lanka :

Before 20th century there were fights between majorities and minorities as majorities were more in numbers while minorities were less but more rich as well as more educated. So, a law was passed and was told that majority community will be ruling on minority community and minority will have to foster buddhism compulsorily . And there were much more problems going on between many communities. But after 20th century democracy confirm that each and everyone get equal rights as well as equal advantages.
