Women got the vote (NZ first, I believe, then Australia, the US, the UK and Europe). Voting Rights Act (1965) in US ended Jim Crow laws preventing blacks from voting in the southern US. Lowering of voting age to 18 (near near universal). Extension of democracy to new countries (eg India, 1947)
