The democracy is considered more better form of government yet it face some following challenges:

→ The 1st challenge or the foundational challenge of democracy is instituting a democratic .gov. This involves bringing down the existing non- democratic regime, keeping military away from controlling .gov & establishing a sovereign & functional state.

→The 2nd one is the challenge of expansion. This involves applying basic principle of democratic .gov acros all the regions, different social groups & various institutions. E.g. inclusion of women & minor groups, extension of federal principle to all units of federation etc...

→The 3rd challenge of demcracy is deepening of democracy. This involves strengthening of the institutions & practices of democracy. In general terms, it usually means strengthening of instituions that help people's participation.

though democracy does not face any challenger, this does not mean it does not face any challenges. we usually call those problems as challenges which can be overcome. a challenge is a difficulty which carries within it an oppurtunity for progress.
however, ever country faces it's own challenges. some countries are not yet democratic because of the three main challenges they face. they are:
(i)foundational challenge.
(ii)challenge of expansion
(iii)deeping of democracy
