Explanation:

Accountable, Legitimate and Responsive form of Government :-

  • In a democracy, people have their own rights under Universal Adult Franchise / Suffrage to elect their own rulers that's the basics if democracy.
  • The First outcome:- It produces a government that is accountable or accessible to citizens and must respond to the needs of the people whenever needed on time.
  • "Democracy is based on the idea of deliberation and negotiation".
  • For a non democratic ruler, it doesn't matter about elections and majority, because country runs in his rule, not the people's rules. Now, let us have a case that a government takes decisions very fast but they are inappropriate. That is not the government we want. But if a government takes decisions which are time consuming but are correct, so we can say this as legitimate government. That's the outcome we expect.
  • A citizen may want to judge how a decision is made in democracy. That transparency should be available in the democratic government.
  • Regular, free and fair elections are also an outcome that one searches for and must be there in democracy.
  • At last, democracy ensures that the decisions taken is free of corruption or not, but currently this evil hasn't been removed yet . But you can't expect a non democratic regime as it is obvious that it has corruption.
