It is not necessary for every community to have the same opinions. If the majority rules over the minority, ignoring the interests of the minority community, there will be a time when the minority will start to rebel which in turn leads to a civil war. There will be losses in both the sides, hundreds of people will die and thus leading to the partition of the country.

In a democracy -
* the support for any opinion is tested through the principle of majority.
*only if a view carries a majority it can become a policy.
*minority view does not necessarily mean that it is a wrong and misconceived view...
