Some of the shortcomings of democracy are as follows:-

• Large amount of prevalent corruption among government officials

• Voting becomes a personal choice instead of an aspect of the country’s betterment and some do not take it seriously

• Choosing wrong government officials

• Takes time to make decisions

• Favors only the majority
