Reasons are :

(i) A democratic decision involves many persons, discussion, debates.

(ii) A number of people together can point out possible mistakes in any decision.

(iii) This takes time but reduces chances of a rash/ irresponsible decision.

Answer:

The answer of your question is as follows:

There is a statement which is "democratic process of decision taking leads to delay but reduces the chance of rash or responsible decision". This statement clears us that:

▪️The above statement is the one of the merits of democracy which states that democracy make delay to take a decision but that decision will be a responsible and good decision.

▪️ At early periods the countries ruled by monarchy us King rule.so the king have to decide what to do for the nation and all the decision was taken by him, but his decision was changing day by day or within few days, because in this he never put his mind and think about the situation. He just the declare his decision.

▪️ But in democracy this never happens,if a decision has to be taken then it take much more time and things about the situation and finally decision is passed or taken which was better one and can be apply to years after years.
