Democracy is a government for the people, of the people and by the people. Democracy has been in existence since ancient times, but it reached its golden Era in the 20 century. India is a largest democracy in the world. The Indian political system is multiparty system. Most political parties today are not interested in coming to power. Illiteracy, poverty, inequality, casteism, violence, corruption, terrorism, etc are posing problems for democracy in India. For democracy to be success all these need to be changed.
