Democracy is the form of government in which rulers are elected by the people.

Democracy comes from a Greek word 'Demokratia' in which 'demos' means people and 'kratia' means rule. Therefore, democracy is rule by the people.

Later, we got the definition by Abraham Lincoln $<b>" Democracy is government of the people, by the people and for the people ".</b>$

As we know have read that how the struggle for democracy was linked to the demand for $<b><i>Universal Adult Franchise.</b></I>$ This principal has now come to be accepted almost all over the world. Yet there are many instances of denial of equal right to vote .

◼ In Saudi Arabia women do not have the right to vote.

◼ Estonia has made its citizenship rules in such a way that people belonging to Russian minority find it difficult to get the right to vote.

◼ In Fiji , the electoral system is such that the vote of one indigeneous Fiji has more value than that of an Indian - Fijian.

Democracy is based on a fundamental principal of political equality. That gives us one of the feature of democracy : $<b><u> In a democracy, each adult citizen must have one vote , and each vote must have one value.</b></u>$.

First of all, whats democracy?

✔️Democracy is basically $\textbf{for the people.. by the} \\ \textbf{people.. of the people}$.

✔️ In short , it is basic framework of rules of government for people.

✔️ In many countries, even today , it's seems that ,there is no right to vote.
For example, Afghanistan, Kenya,etc
✔️ World is in a developing stage.But still there are some problems,issues where they should be filled with .

✔️ Even Today, in 21st Century, women are paid less attention and are considered less Importance as that of compared to men.

✔️ But women representation for the right to vote should be increased for the development and welfare of all.

✔️ It should be stated that the democracy should have one vote , one person, one value.
This means that each person has the right of Individual representation to vote.

✔️ He/ she should have given the right to vote irrespective of the discrimination on the basis of caste, religion,Creed, race etc.

✔️This political equality must be followed every where in the world in order to development of the world.

✔️ And hence the democracy must have one vote , one person, one value.
