competition in democracy is very essential. in a democracy different parties[in multi party system] or 2 parties contest elections to gain power. competition is healthy for democracy as it ensures proper decision making procedure. the party in the opposition keeps check on the party in power that it does not misuse its power. sometimes competition also gives us variety of choices
