UNIVERSAL ADULT FRANCHISE I WOULD GUESS TO MEAN THAT ALL ADULTS CAN PARTICIPATE IN DEMOCRACY. SO IF SOME OF THE PEOPLE OF A COUNTRY CAN'T PARTICIPATE IN THE ELECTIONS AND VOTE ON LAWS, THEN THEY AREN'T TRULY REPRESENTED. THEY'RE NOT PART OF THE DEMOCRACY AND ARE HAVING THEIR FATE DETERMINED WITHOUT A CHANCE TO SPEAK OR EXERCISE ANY RIGHTS.

universal franchise means that every person about the above the age of 18 have right to work . This is important to democracy because it is based on the principle of equality it does not discriminate on the basis of social and economic background
