Experiment to prove that particles of matter are very small -

AIM - To prove that particles of matter are very small.

MATERIALS REQUIRED -  4-5 beakers , a delivery tube , blue ink , water and a dropper.

PROCEDURE - 1. Take a beaker half filled with water , with the help of a dropper put a few drops of ink in water.

2. Mix the solution well and transfer 10 ml of the solution in another beaker filled with water.

3. Mix the solution well and again transfer 10 ml of the solution in the next beaker filled with water.

4. Repeat this process several times.

OBSERVATION -  Although the solution is diluted several number of times the color of the last beaker still remains faded blue.

CONCLUSION - Matter is made up of particles which are very small , as a result of which the a very light blue color is still present in the beaker , instead of diluting it many times.
