Demonstrate that starch is formed in Green leaves during photosynthesis

Answer:
hey mate
Explanation:
In the process of Photosynthesis, plants use light energy to make Glucose through CO2. This glucose is used to make cellulose from which cellulose fabric can be produced. The plant's structural component is produced in the form of starch in amyloplasts.
Explanation:
Activity to show this -
main materials need for the activity -
a water bath, any type of plant, alcohol, test tube, iodine solution.
Procedure -
step.1
Boil the water bath for few minutes and put a leaf of plant for about 30 seconds.
[ why we did this - by boiling the leaf it will become more soft and it will be killed, that's why ]
step.2
Now, bring out the leaf from boiling water and place it into the alcohol tube.
Make sure no Bunsen is lightning there.
Now again, put this tube back into the warm water.
step.3
About after 10 - 13 minutes you will notice that the leaf has changed it's colour into white, if it happened than remove it from the alcohol and again drop it into the water.
step.4
By using a petri dish Place the leaf on the spotting tile and cover it with the iodine [ leave it just for 2 minutes ]
step.5
By following these all steps the leaf will either change in black or blue colour.
that indicates that the leaf contains starch.

- To proved that starch is prepared in Green leaves during Photosynthesis “ iodine test" is done.
For this test, a plant leaf is plucked and washed
then it is boiled in ethanol under water bath .
Doing this the pigments are dissolved in
ethanol . Now the leaf is taken out and washed
under tap water, then it is dried applying
blotting paper . Now on this two to three
drops of iodine solution is applied and
spreaded. The part of leaf where
photosynthesis occur turned blackish blue and
other parts get yellowish or orange in colour.
Hence it is proved that starch is formed in
Green leaves during Photosynthesis.
Hope it's helpful to you.
