Answer:

Before knowing about osmotic pressure we must know about osmosis

Osmosis is the movement of particles through semi permeable membrane from region of their higher concentration to a region of their lower concentration. is called osmosis. The pressure exerted through the movement of osmosis is called osmosis pressure.

Difference=>

This process of flow of solvent molecules due to the difference in concentration is osmosis. We can stop the flow of solvent molecules through the membrane by applying external pressure. As we discussed at the beginning, the pressure that just stops the flow of solvent particles is the osmotic pressure.

Relationship =>

pressure applied by a solution to prevent the inward flow of water across a semi-permeable membrane. Osmotic potential: the potential of water molecules to move from a hypotonic solution to a hypertonic solution across a semi-permeable membrane. i = van 't Hoff factor of the solute.
