ANSWER:

The odd one is collenchyma.

REASON:

  • Collenchyma is a plant tissue.

  • Dendron, nissles granules, axon, axon ending are the part of neuron in animal tissue.

Explanation:

COLLENCHYMA:

  • It is a living simple tissue of a plant.

  • It gives mechanical support to the petiole of young leaves .

  • It is associated with chloroplast and therefore performs photosynthesis.

  • Collenchyma forms the hypodermis of dicot stem.

  • They have thickening at the corners of the cells.

NEURON:

  • It is also called neural tissue.

  • These are absent in plants.

  • A neuron has the following parts : dendrites or dendrons , cyton or cell body , axon.

  • Dendrites are branches arising from cyton . They conduct the impulses towards the cyton.

  • Cyton consists of cytoplasm , nucleus and nissles granules.

  • Nissiles granules are nothing but the endoplasmic reticulum associated with ribosomes. They are the site of protein synthesis.

  • Cyton has a long thread like filament called axon. Axon has cytoplasm called axoplasm.

  • Axon is surrounded by neurilemma. In PNS myelin sheath is formed by Schwann cells.

  • Axon conducts the impulses away from cyton. Axon terminates in few branches called axon terminals.

  • Axon terminals have synaptic knobs associated with them. These synaptic knobs contain neurotransmitters like acetylcholine.
