Here is the solution,

Let the Numerator be N, and Denominator be D,

According to the Question, The denominator is less than Numerator by 4,
=> D = N-4,

And Again according to the Question, If 6 is added to the numerator, It becomes thrice of Denominator,

=> (N+6) = 3D,
Substitute the above value of D here,
=> (N+6) = 3(N-4),
=> (N+6) = 3N - 12,
=> 18 = 2N,
=> N = 9,

Now substitute this in any of the above equations to get D,
=> D = 9-4,
=> D = 5,

We assumed the fraction as N/D,

Now the fraction is 9/5,

So therefore the answer to your question is 9/5,
