Breadth (b) = 55 cm,

Height (h) = 40 cm,

Let length = l cm ,

$Capacity \: of \:the \:container = 180 \:litres$

$\implies l \times b \times h = 180 \times 1000 cm^{3}$

$\implies l = \frac{ 180000}{b\times h }$

$\implies l = \frac{ 180000}{55 \times 40}$

$\implies l = 81.8181\ldots$

$\implies l \approx 82 \:cm$

Therefore.,

$Length \:of \:the \:container = 82 \:cm$
