Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the numerator=x

then denominator=x+3

Then fraction=x/x+3

===================================

(i) if numerator is subtracted from its denominator

Then denominator=x+3-x=3

========================

(ii) If the  denominator

is added to its numerator

then numerator=x+x+3=2x+3

======================

Now fraction becomes

=(2x+3) /3=11/3 ( Given)

or 2x+3=11

2x=8

x=4

So the fraction is:

4/7
