if, numerator is 3 less than denominator = x -3
when numerator tripled = 3x -9
when denominator increased by 2
2 = x + 2
3x - 9 /x+2 =1/2
x+ 2 = 2 (3x- 9)
x+2 = 6x - 18
6x-x = 2 + 18
5x = 20
x = 4

denominator = x= 4
numerator = x - 3 = 4- 3 = 1
original fractions = x-3 / 4 = 4-3 / 4
