hey the answer is ....

denominator = x + 8 -1

numerator = x + 17

fraction = 3/5

x + 17 / x + 7 = 3/5

cross multiply

5 (x + 17 ) = 3 ( x + 7 )

5x + 85 = 3x + 21

5x - 3x = 21 - 85

2x = - 64

x = -64 /2 = -32

hope it helps uu frnd. .
