{\underline {\underline { SOLUTION:--}}}

 \frac{x + 17}{x + 8 - 1} = \frac{3}{2} \\ \\ \frac{x + 17}{x + 7} = \frac{3}{2} \\ \\ (x + 17)2 = (x + 7)3 \\ \\ 2x + 34 = 3x + 21 \\ \\ 34 - 21 = 3x - 2x \\ \\ 13 = x

so,

the value of x is 13.

which means the denominator is 8more than the numerator which is clearly given in the question... :-)

 \frac{13}{13 + 8} \\ \\ = = > \frac{13}{21}

Step-by-step explanation:

SOLUTION:−−

\begin{gathered} \frac{x + 17}{x + 8 - 1} = \frac{3}{2} \\ \\ \frac{x + 17}{x + 7} = \frac{3}{2} \\ \\ (x + 17)2 = (x + 7)3 \\ \\ 2x + 34 = 3x + 21 \\ \\ 34 - 21 = 3x - 2x \\ \\ 13 = x\end{gathered}

x+8−1

x+17

=

2

3

x+7

x+17

=

2

3

(x+17)2=(x+7)3

2x+34=3x+21

34−21=3x−2x

13=x

so,

the value of x is 13.

which means the denominator is 8more than the numerator which is clearly given in the question... :-)

\begin{gathered} \frac{13}{13 + 8} \\ \\ = = > \frac{13}{21} \end{gathered}

13+8

13

==>

21

13
