Let the denominator be x

the numerator be x+4

New numerator be (X+4)+6= X +10

After 6 has been added to the numerator

the numerator becomes four times the denominator

So, 2(X)=X+10

2x =X+10

2x - X= 10

So, X = 10

Now the rational no. formed is X+4/X

So, 10+4/10

=14/10

=7/4
