Answer:  Given that,

The denominator is greater than numerator by 10.

Let the numerator be x.

Therefore, denominator will be (x+10)

Therefore, we will get,

=> Fraction = x/(x+10)

Now, it's said that,

Numerator is increased by 1 and denominator is decreased by 1.

Therefore, we have,

New numerator = (x+1)

New denominator = (x+10-1) = (x+9)

Therefore, we will get,

=> New fraction = (x+1)/(x+9)

Hence, the new expression for denominator is (x+9)
