denominator of rational number is 7 more than numerator. if 1 is added to the numerator and 6 is added to the denominator than the value is 1/2. find the numerator and denominator?

Let the fraction be
$\frac{x}{y}$
Gn that

$y = x + 7 - - - - - (1)$
Again By Qn ,
$\frac{x + 1}{y + 6} = \frac{1}{2}$

ie
$\frac{x + 1}{ x + 13} = \frac{1}{2}$
ie

$2x + 2 = x + 13$
ie

$x = 11$
$(1) = y = 11 + 7 = 18$
Thus the fraction is
$\frac{11}{18}$
