Ya actually it was just to apply some logic but the answer is in the book.
They require huge amount of energy obtained from hydroelectric power... They exert large pressure on ground water level... They dispose chemicals as waste which pollute the water
I have written one point... They produce food as it is in huge demand so require water... Instead of the point "exert pressure on ground water"

no no that question the other one like manufacturing industries are a measure of country's development .
for the question youre talking about most industries dont produce food so that point maybe wrong
