use the formula of volumetric thermal expansion ,
V = V₀(1 + 3α × ∆T) [ because , Y = 3α
we know, density = mass/Volume ,
because mass can't be change if temperature change .
so, formula of thermal expansion for density,
d = d₀((1 + 3α × ∆T)
9.7 = 10/[1 + 3α × ( 100 - 0)]
9.7 = 10/[1 + 300α]
9.7 + 2910α = 10
2910α = 0.3 => α = 0.00010309
α = 1.0309 × 10^-4 /°C
