Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

Molar mass of unknown gas = 35.84 g/mol

◆ Explaination -

Let's consider equal volumes of unknown gas and oxygen gas. i.e. V .

According to Avogadro's law, their no of moles will also be equal. i.e. n .

Ratio of densities is given as -

d1/d2 = (W1/V) / (W2/V)

d1/d2 = (nM1/V) / (nM2/V)

d1/d2 = M1/M2

Rearranging,

M1 = d1/d2 × M2

M1 = 1.12 × 32

M1 = 35.84 g/mol

Therefore, molar mass of unknown gas is 35.84 g/mol.

Thanks dear...
