The mass of atoms, their size, and how they are arranged determine thedensity of a substance. Density equals the mass of the substance divided by its volume; D = m/v. Objects with the same volume but different mass havedifferent densities.

Different substances are different because the substances found in different zones ,altitude and different climate . So they are different from one another i.e different in density and also another reason is mass of different atoms makes it high or low density
