Density of iron is 7.8 g/cc and that of brass is 8.4 g/cc. If you take 5 cc volume of each substance, which one has more mass?​

Answer: Brass will have more mass.

Explanation:

Density, is the measure of how much mass does a substance have in 1 unit of Volume. Thus the relation Density = Mass/volume.

If we take 5 cc as 1 unit of volume, then as per the definition of density whichever substance has a higher mass will have the greater density.

Since, brass has a greater density than iron, it will have more mass than iron in 1 unit of volume.
