It is given that the density of iron is 7900 kg/m³

Also,

We know that the density of water is 1000 kg/m³

\sf\therefore {Relative\:Density\:} =\dfrac{Density\:of\:object}{Density\:of\:water}

\sf = \dfrac{79000}{1000}

\sf = 7.9

We can clearly see, The relative density of iron is more than 1. If the relative density of any object is more than 1 then the object sinks in water.

Therefore,

Iron will sink in water.
