density of water varies with temperature. What are it's consequences?

As we increase the temperature the intermolecular forces of attractions begins to get weaker and hence the phenomenon called EVAPORATION takes place while when we decrease the temperature the opposite takes place and ice is formed ..called freezing

during winters it is beneficial to water animals since bcz of this variation constant 4 degree celcius temp is maintained inside water inspite of drastic conditions outside
