Answer:

First food enters the mouth where the digestion starts.

Here saliva secretes an enzyme called salivary amylase which digests carbohydrates.

Now food moves through oesophagus with the help of a continuous movement called peristaltic movement.

Entry of food known as bolus is taken care by oesophageal sphincter.

Now gastric glands secrete gastric juices in stomach which includes hydrochloric acid, mucous and pepsin.

Hydrochloric acid makes the condition of stomach acidic for the action of pepsin which digests proteins.

Mucous protects the inner lining of stomach from the action of acid.

Now food known as chyme enters the small intestine which is taken care by the pyloric sphincter.

Entering the small intestine pancreas and liver secretes ther secretion which helps in further digestion.

Liver secretes bile juice and bile salts. Bile juice makes the condition of stomach alkaline and bile salts breaks down the big fat globules into small fat globules.

Pancreas secretes pancreatic juices which includes trypsin lipase and amylase.

Trypsin furthur digests proteins into amino acids.

Lipase digests fats into fatty acids and glecerol.

And amylase digest carbohydrates into glucose.

The food is transfered to large intestine and a large amount of water is absorbed and now is released from the body through rectum.
