depicts an archery target marked with its five scoring regions from the centre outwards as gold,red,blue, black and white. The diameter of region representing gold score is 21cm and each of other bands is 10.5cm wide. find the area of each of the five scoring regions.

diameter of gold score band=21cms
radius =21/2
=10.5cms
therefore, area of gold region=πr^2
=22/7×21/2×21/2
= 1386/4
= 346.5 square units
radius of red region include with gold region=10.5+10.5
=21cms
area of red region including =πr^2
=22/7×21×21
=1386cmsq
area of red region only=1386-346.5
=1039.5 cmsq
