The causes are mainly that the person is often spaced out and is depressed because he is taking too much stress of the world. He is pressuring himself to do the work he is not capable of. The symptoms might be that he never talks too much. He often prefers to be alone in his own imagination world. He would never want to share anything until forced. He would try to do something harmful to himself just so that he can feel some emotions because right now, he would be emotionless. There are anti depressants which would help him. Please prescribe them by the doctor. Those medicines would help him keep calm and keep him happy a lot as that would play an important role to take him out of his depression.
