AnswEr :

In series combination of resistance, Current remains same and whereas potential difference is different for every resistor. From here we can conclude that,

\longrightarrow \tt{V_{eq}\ =\ V_1\ +\ V_2\ +\ ......\ +\ V_n} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \tt{IR_{eq}\ =\ IR_1\ +\ IR_2\ +\ ......\ +\ IR_n} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \tt{\cancel{I}(R_{eq})\ =\ \cancel{I}(R_1\ +\ R_2\ +\ ....\ +\ R_n)} \\ \\ \\ \longrightarrow \tt{R_{eq}\ =\ R_1\ +\ R_2\ +\ ......\ +\ R_n} \\ \\ \\ \displaystyle \large \longrightarrow \underline{\boxed{\mathfrak{R_{eq}\ =\ \sum^n _{i\ \to\ 1} R_i}}}
