volume of a 3 dimensional prism=area of the base*its height
here;
the shape of the base of the cube=square
area of a square= a^2/a*a
as its a cube ,its height=its sides
i.e.h=a=a
now volume=a*a*a=a^3
i hope its the ans

Volume of prism=Area of base *height
The shape of each side of the cube is square
Therefore the area of base of cube=a*a=a^2
Height of cube h=a
Therefor volume of prism=a^2*a=a^3
