sin²+cos²=1

1+tan²=sec²

1+cot²cosec²

Step-by-step explanation:

AB²+BC²=AC² (Phythagorus Theorem)

(AB²+BC²)/AC²=1

(AB/AC)² + (BC/AC)² =1

Thus

(sinx)² + (cosx)² =1

Dividing both sides by (cosx)²

(sinx/cosx)² + (cos x/cosx)² = (1/cosx)²

(tanx)² + 1 = (secx)²

Similarly dividing by (sinx)² ,you get the third equation.
