⭐Actually welcome to the concept of the ROTATIONAL DYNAMICS...

⭐Basically here we know that ....

⭐K.E.= 1/2 mv^2

⭐but since body is in rotation but not in translational motion ...

⭐therefore we have to apply .. v= w×r ( ..here 'w'= Angular velocity (omega) )


⭐so we get the derived formula as

⭐Rotational K.E. = 1/2 I w^2

k.e =  \frac{1}{2} m {v}^{2}


Since, v = rw

Therefore,

R. K. E = 1/2 m(rw) ^2

 =  >  \frac{1}{2}  m  {r}^{2} {w}^{2}
