PV = n RT
PVˣ = K = constant   .    ˣ = adiabatic constant = gamma

dW = P dV = K dV / Vˣ
 W  = K V¹⁻ˣ / (1 - x)   from  V = V1 to V2
      =  P V / (1 - x)    from  V = V1 to V2 ,  P = P1 to P2
      = - [ P2 V2 - P1 V1 ] /(x - 1)

Answer:

dW = P dV = K dV / Vˣ

 W  = K V¹⁻ˣ / (1 - x)   from  V = V1 to V2

     =  P V / (1 - x)    from  V = V1 to V2 ,  P = P1 to P2

     = - [ P2 V2 - P1 V1 ] /(x - 1)
