Answer:
let a body of mass m starts from rest with constant acc. a and gains speed v after travelling distance d.
using v^2 - 0^2 = 2ad
multiplying bs by 1/2 m
1/2 m v^2 = mad
but ma=F
1/2 m v^2=Fd = work done
this work done is stored as KE
so
KE = 1/2 m v^2
