Derive and prove that weight of an object on moon is equal to1/6 of the weight of the object on earth.

take an example of a person who weighs 60N on earth. It is given that gravitational field strength of moon is 1/6th of earth. We are supposed to find his weight on moon

W on earth = 60N

'g' on moon = 1/6th

60*1/6 = 10N

∴ it is proved that of any object on moon is 1/6th f the weight on earth
