Derive De Broglie relationship and give its significance?

Answer:

Planck's energy equivalence relation states : E = h(nu)

But nu = c/lambda (for light)

Hence De Broglie reinstated the equation and replaced c by v :

So E = h.v/lambda

It's significance is that at quantum level energy difference created due to velocity of a quantized or a very small particle is very huge and hence to calculate this De Broglie equation is used.
