hey brother its still not yet fully proved.
For understanding this u must be at least an IITIAN but i think u hudt studied in 10th and having a desire to know but wait brother u need to know a lot more things to understand this.
for now,
the change in mass converts into energy which is given by
E = mc^2
where c is speed of light in vaccum
