Derivation:-

For the derivation you must know that acceleration can be written as ratio of ∆V and time here ∆V is change in Velocity.

So we can write acceleration as

\large \rightarrow \: a =  \frac{∆V}{t}

Also we know that

\large \rightarrow \:∆V = v - u

here v is final velocity and u is initial velocity

\large \rightarrow \: a =  \frac{v - u}{t}

\large \rightarrow \: a \times t =  {v - u}

\large \rightarrow \: at + u = v
