Explanation:

according to newton's 2nd law force = rate of change in momentum

so, suppose the initial velocity of a body is u and after applying a force(for t seconds) it changed to v

so the change in momentum will be mv-mu(here m= mass of the body) & the rate in change n momentum is = (mv-mu)/t

and from the newtons 2nd law we can say that F=(mv-mu)/t

F=m(v-u)/t

F=ma( cause a= (v-u)/t
