A projectiles time of flight is easy to calculate. Resolve the projectile's velocity into horizontal and vertical component using the cosine and sine of the angle of projection and the magnitude of the velocity to get the two components.

The motion of the projectile in the vertical direction is subjected to the downwards acceleration due to gravity, and the using ( v Sin ß) and g one can calculate he time required for the projectile to come to earth, using the relation [ s= u t + ½ a t²] , taking s= 0, u = v Sinß, a = -g.

With these values, we can determine t, the time of flight.

Knowing t, we can find the range of the projectile R [ R= v Cos ß × t ] . I guess determining time of flight could not be simpler than this.

Hope this helps you.....
