So let's imagine a cylinder with 2 moveable piston at both ends.The right and left end has area A1 and A2 respectively.let us apply a force F1 on right end (A1)So pressure exerted will F1/which is distributed to the other end and the left piston will

exert a force F2 outwards on area A2 with same pressure.

So

\frac{f1}{a1}  =  \frac{f2}{a2}

cross multiplying both sides we get

\frac{f2}{f1}  =  \frac{a2}{a1}
