The rate of change momentum of a body is directly proportional to the applied force, and takes place in the direction in which the force applied

Force =change in momentum /time taken

Force =k (mv-mu)/the or force = k m (v-u)/t

By writing 'a'in place v-u/the in the above

F=k×m×a

The value of constant in si unit is 1 so above the equation becomes

F=1×m×a

F=m×a
