According to the Newton's second law of motion the rate of change of momentum of a body is directly proportional to the force applied

If a body of mass 'm' having an initial velocity 'u' and force 'f' acts on it for time 't' and cause the final velocity to become 'V' the final Momentum will become MV the change in momentum is equal to mv-mu

According to Newton's second law of motion

F is directly proportional to mv- mu/t

or

F is directly proportional to M ( v -u)/t
