you can find total resistance in a parallel circuit with the following formula

1/RT = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 + ......

before we get into the calculation , remember what we said at the start of the section . the total resistance of a parallel circuit is not equal to the sum of the resistors

I=I1+I2+I3 - 1

I=V/Rp on applying ohms law - I1=v/R1; I2=V/R2; I3 = V/R3 - 3 from 1 and 2 we get v/Rp= v/R1+ v/R2 +v/R3 or v( 1/Rp=1/R1+1/R2+1/R3)

so 1/Rp=1/R1+1/R2+1/R3

done
